Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Policy

Effective Date: April 13, 2025
Last Updated: April 13, 2025

1. Our Commitment

At ASP Asset Management AIFP SIA, we recognize the growing importance of integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors into the investment decision-making process. As a registered Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM) in the Republic of Latvia, we aim to promote responsible investment practices and long-term value creation for our investors, portfolio companies, and society.

2. Scope and Proportionality

As a small AIFM, we apply ESG principles in a manner proportionate to our size, internal resources, and the nature of the alternative investment strategies we pursue. ESG considerations are tailored to each investment opportunity and the stage of company development.

3. Integration of ESG Factors

While we do not currently have a formalized ESG rating system or commit to sustainable investment objectives under Article 8 or 9 of the SFDR, we strive to:

  • Assess material ESG risks during the due diligence process;
  • Engage with portfolio companies on responsible business practices;
  • Avoid investments in sectors or companies that violate fundamental ethical principles, including human rights abuses, corruption, or environmental harm;
  • Encourage transparency and good governance in all our investment activities.

4. Environmental Considerations

We consider the potential environmental impact of our investments, including areas such as:

  • Climate change and carbon footprint;
  • Resource efficiency and pollution control;
  • Environmental compliance and regulatory risks.

5. Social Considerations

We seek to invest in companies that demonstrate:

  • Respect for labor rights and workplace standards;
  • Fair treatment of employees, suppliers, and customers;
  • Inclusion, diversity, and community engagement.

6. Governance Standards

We promote high standards of governance, including:

  • Transparent and accountable decision-making structures;
  • Compliance with legal and regulatory requirements;
  • Avoidance of conflicts of interest and unethical business conduct.

7. Transparency under SFDR

ASP Asset Management is subject to the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR). At this stage, we do not currently consider the principal adverse impacts (PAIs) of investment decisions on sustainability factors in a systematic manner due to the size and nature of our business. We will review this approach periodically as the regulatory and market landscape evolves.

8. Ongoing Development

We view ESG as a continuous journey and are committed to evolving our approach over time. We monitor developments in regulation, investor expectations, and industry best practices to strengthen our ESG integration.
